To fulfill our corporate social responsibility and make a contribution to the realization of a better world, HURUM helps disadvantaged neighbors such as children, women and senior citizens. All our employees share love with sincerity.

Probiotics support

Since more than 70% of the immune cells in our entire body are in the intestines, it is important to keep the intestines healthy for us to stay healthy. Hurum provides probiotics to our neighbors who need recover health and strengthen the immune system, including physically underdeveloped children compared to their peers due to the reasons such as underweight, burn patients with low income, or the elderly who live alone.

Healing picnic for the elderly

Hurum takes the elderly living in ‘The House of Providence’ who have difficulty going out on their own due to restricted mobility out on a picnic to nearby suburbs. This is to relieve a sense of alienation they might feel from not being able to go out freely and give them a new energy for life, and Hurum personnel work as volunteers to help them move around and enjoy foods.

Charity Gimjang

‘Charity Gimjang’ is an annual activity that is conducted by the management and employees in the wintertime. They take part in this charity event with sincerity to help the disadvantaged neighbors in the local communities.

Baby Top Campaign

Baby tops made by employees are delivered to poor single mothers. This baby top charity campaign was launched to help these unfortunate women raise their baby and be self-supporting. This program is being promoted in cooperation with the social charity group ‘Sarangbat’.

Wonder Woman Campaign

This campaign is designed to help women who are beginning their second lives. It helps married women launch their own business through sales and marketing. Among the target women for this campaign, Soha-dong Studio, which sells homemade gangjeong (Korean confection made with glutinous rice flour), was able to easily surmount the difficulties of business startup in the early stage by sales, products and getting support for advertisement through the HURUM Shopping Mall.
